The Contour is ProTaper's most popular handlebar. Oversized diameter handlebars, without crossbars, were invented and patented by ProTaper in 1991. This design allows the handlebar to flex more and absorb impacts better than conventional bars, offering the rider more comfort and less fatigue without sacrificing bar strength. The Contour Handlebar utilizes a computer-profiled 5mm wall design and is up to 20 percent lighter than other bars, yet up to 40 percent stronger. It is the most affordable way to get your hands on the most sought after handlebar design in the world.

Universal Fitment: Suitable for most full-size motocross and enduro motorcycles using 1-1/8" (28.6 mm) oversized handlebar clamps. Bikes fitted with standard 7/8" handlebars may require a 1-1/8" conversion mount. CR Mid refers to the handlebar bend/profile and does not mean it is limited to Honda CR models.

It can be fitted to many full-size motocross/enduro bikes such as Honda CR/CRF, Yamaha YZ/YZF/WR, Kawasaki KX/KXF, Suzuki RM/RM-Z, KTM SX/SX-F/EXC, Husqvarna TC/FC/TE/FE and GasGas MC/EC, as long as the bike has 28.6 mm handlebar clamps. This is a dimensional/universal fit rather than a specific OEM model-year fitment. ProTaper themselves publish the Contour range by bend dimensions, rather than assigning CR Mid to one specific motorcycle.
